My seller owner finance contract for deed situation went horribly south after 7 years!

My properties are all in New Jersey (South Jersey to be specific) so I can speak to that state. 

Aside from a few streets, I think it has an ok vibe to it (not North Bloomfield/Montclair, but not like rougher areas a little further south).  

This is specific to South Carolina but it is very similar in many states.This information is right there on the County Website.

We made our offer on a small home that needs to be rehabbed in a small rural community south of Rochester and it was accepted ($55,000).

Eg before the sun comes up (or when she goes to bed), closing all curtains or blinds in the east and south facing windows (and later on the west facing ones) to keep the sun out; opening windows once it has cooled down at night and early in the morning (eg before 8 am)? 

South Florida is a different animal from the rest of the State.. 

I'd be happy to chat a little bit about various U.S. markets, and opportunities available south of the border.If you like the idea, then we need to pick a date, time and location. 

With the crazy insurance costs we're looking to switch markets and were wondering if anyone would offer insights on the costs of investing in North or South Carolina.
