I was fully engaged in Real estate sale and lending in the late 80s early 90s in the bay area.. one of the tipping points or actually two were the earthquake and the war.. first gulf.. war.. economy came to a half.. people panicked and stop buying which fed on its self.some of the high end in the bay area actually fell 50%...
