I've had others in the past that have had to be evicted, for various reasons, just as with other tenants; the prospect of losing a voucher isn't sufficient motivation for some to pay on time, care for the premises or not try to move in the drug dealing boyfriend or the violent baby-daddy that breaks windows throwing hammers (that one broke her windshield, too).

I'm conflicted because it was non-violent (shades of gray at worst), 5 years ago already, and they're assuring me his record is clean since (I have not run their background check yet since I wasn't going to make them pay for that unless I thought I'd actually rent to them).

Certain crimes are worse than others I for one could care less about renting to someone Who had done pot in their past, if that was a requirement for president of the United States we wouldn't of had at least two presidents so far, some crimes are very heinous in nature and I would not want to rent to someone, such as being violent to women, multiple breaking enterings, arson etc, crimes that actually hurts others
