If you do single her out like this, and she can prove that your intent was to purposefully get rid of her and her ESA (this thread certainly helps her case if she comes across it), then you're partaking in the exact discrimination that the ADA prohibits, and you're looking at a potential lawsuit.The way I see it, younger generations (millennials and gen Z) are very attached to their animals and treat them more as family that past generations have, and landlords and owners are smart to begin to come up with ways to allow animals, and even monetize.

I've written much about this on my blog, but you don't want to be in violation of federal law.There are 2 agencies that create regulation regarding these animals:The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)The Fair Housing Act (FHA)For emotional support animals, you may request documentation from a physician, psychiatrist, social worker or other mental health professional that the animal provides emotional support that alleviates one or more of the identified symptoms or effects of an existing disability.It does not need to be on a specific form.

As for tile brands - Florida Tile is still made in the US, Green Guard certified, ADA certified and great quality for the price.

@Kathi Miller there's a lot of posts on the BiggerPockets forums that are not accurate around the service animal vs emotional support animal distinction, in some cases due to discrepancies in state-state laws and/or misinterpretation of ADA guidelines in this area.
