It doesn't affect the actual operation of my business YET, aside from the moratorium, but I know politicians are listening, and I see how the winds are changing.

Most importantly, contact your politicians and tell them to let local businesses open back up.

It would have been much easier to sit on a couch in my underwear eating cereal out of a box and waiting for the Big Man in the White House to send me a sustenance check rather than working 80 hours weeks for 25 years (including through six months of chemo) to build something of value that I could, should I choose to do so, pass on as a legacy in the manner in which I saw fit rather than being handed out as pork to scoundrels and malingerers by our politician class.  

I’ll take any extra” outs” I can find with the crap these politicians are pulling lately .

Although certain politicians here seem to be trying to make it a mini-California with their constant  efforts to ram Cali-style tenant-favored rules through the state legislature.

During public hearings, politicians, such as former Supervisor Greg Cox, stressed the need for more housing, while San Diego County Fire Chief Tony Mecham testified that residents could be safely evacuated in a large blaze.

"Cancel rent" type movements get a lot of press, and both those voter bases and the politicians do notice.  

My counter to that is that most politicians probably own real estate and are going to protect their investments.
