HVAC contractors do not lay off in the winter time there is no supply of technicians out there but there is plenty of demand so we will pay our people even if we don't have work to make sure that we don't lose an employee and I'm sure other contractors are doing the same thing.

I have a steady income as a employee at Costco but, I don't want to be there forever so I'm not sure if I should start a career in real estate as a broker or an investor first?

As a former HD and Lowes contractor (lost both contracts once HD found out we were expanding and working for Lowes too) specializing in kitchen and bath remodeling, the margins were always in their favor and it was extremely difficult to maintain quality employees and subs based on the rates they would pay.

If you're an employee of your own company then you have to be w-2 right?

If you hire mediocre employees that'll cost only around $250-300 out the door in labor, most houses are only 1 day work.

Hello @Robert Boyer, We have a Networth office in Tampa, Florida; and, I have communicated with several of their employees within the last few months. 

Agent said there may be a 65% occupancy, but she did say ex-employee was pocketing money.
