I wanted to add to this because I read a ton on the subject when buying in a similar tax sale situation in North Carolina.

I'm a licensed real estate agent in NC and SC, and own a portfolio of investments in the Carolinas, looking to connect and network with like minded individuals. 

In North Carolina, I do this because of the diligence fee is not returnable and they expect at least $2,500 sometimes up to $5,000 for it.

I'll stick to LLCs where members can, in my state (NC) and probably like most states, transfer their member (voting) interest and/or economic (non-voting) interest (see NCGS Transfer of economic interests) at will.

and it's an easy drive from some major cities like Charlotte, NC.

Newbie here, looking to connect with members, agents, investors in the Asheville, Maggie Valley, Boone area of North Carolina. 

The realtor I used is now involved with yet another FL NC venture.  

My wife and I live in California but invest in NC. 

Parent llC in wyoming - 50% owned by me and 50% owned by my spouseChild LLC in North Carolina - 100% owned by parent LLCWe brought one 5 unit property in NC in 2021 using Child LLC name as owner and paid cash.

So my wife and I own one townhouse rental property in Clayton NC and have about 200k-225k in equity.
