Final thought: The 50% more profit from STR vs Long term rentals seems pretty glamorous...it’s like gambling at a casino and hitting 7’s....and then the dealer changes (regulation/inventory)There are over 2M STR listings in the US alone.

Most of it though, was spent on STUPID stuff - several visits to casinos to "live large", eating out almost every lunch & dinner, several beauty treatments, buying a bunch of online movies, etc.

The AC area ones about 80% of revenue is drawn during peak season, but there are still some bookings that come in for Casino, concert, etc.

There was some research on this think it was Zillow article and Facebook IPO.If I remember right a few neighborhoods saw a slight increase...I wouldn't buy a house looking to sell after IPOs...if you want to gamble buy stocks or go to the casino.

I don't see any good reason why the rest of the nation should be stuck subsidizing their crappy property policy that artificially inflated prices and made the whole thing into a casino in years past.
