The only challenge is that I’d probably need to hire someone to manage it while I’m not there if I do an STR, right ?  

You are technically going to be out of compliant with them.

I have had more than once where the tenant buyer went to exercise their option and I wish that they didn’t, but I honored our agreement and did not look for technicalities to keep them from exercising their option.

How challenging was the process?

I recognize it is a tough RE market with many challenges.
