IMO killeen is a solid investment. just have to watch which areas you are getting into. there are some pretty rough areas near fort hood but killeen is great because it is close enough to austin and people commute from there to austin as well. with fort cavazos near by and the new samsung plant coming online in taylor, it is a solid choice with steady demand for MF.

I would just ask lots of questions and determine your advantages (time, money, knowledge, etc.) before deciding on an investment strategy.  

Start by connecting with a knowledgeable real estate agent, property manager, and contractors.

I have a choice to ask the seller to pay for my buyer agent's commission or not include it in the offer letter (pay by myself), so I wanted to know before I submit the offer. 

I know what the rents should be for each of the units (2 vacant and 1 significantly under market), the taxes are listed on the MLS, I’m familiar with the water/sewer costs in close proximity to this building, and I know what percentage to use for my Vacancy, CapEx, and repairs and maintenance based on my knowledge of the local market.

@Bruce Lynn is more knowledgeable than me, but I’m seeing some interesting properties.

Hello BPers,Anyone with experience or knowledge of Eagle Rock Resort in Hazelton, PA. 

I am thinking since it is only a 2 bedroom this may be a better choice versus trying to find a smaller family to rent it out too.
