If they're selling in order to pay medical bills, then it's doubtful they've been flush with cash to keep up with CapEx & maintenance costs.

I went out and bought him 3  buckets and told him to plug in the sump pump , fill the buckets with water , and use that to flush .

Either have it cut flush, leaving a rectangular, narrow deck or fill it in for a little larger area.

@Hameed Abdul here are some things that come to mind but this is not an exhaustive list:- leaks - flush the toilet make sure it doesn't run, turn off and on every faucet, look at bath tub - water costs a lot of money- foundation- HVAC - get a professional to give you a quote- make sure it's zoned for multifamily- get a clear idea of the screening process and who is living there now- get bank statements that show money in/money out

Older toilets use 6 gallons a flush so that will save you some water if you convert.
