For your first rental property, starting in an area you're familiar with can make the learning process easier, as you’ll better understand the market and can handle issues directly.

You find a Realtor in the market you're looking in and you should be able to lean on an investor-focused Realtor for property management, lender, and contracting contacts.

Go direct to seller, learn to source your own deals and you will be successful  

I personally don't like getting a lot of automated messages when I rent a STR, I'd rather have some more personal contact.....

You were literally fine with what we were doing for you up until you found out the tenant left after closing because you tried to say we knew about it which is impossible as we never had contact with the tenant ever.

Of course some new construction in Strongsville is also A class, but so is a 40 year old home in Concord, Solon, Highland Heights.Whereas we also have new construction in the gentrifying parts of the city, like Tremont, that are directly across the street from boarded up homes.

In recruiting, it's called running a 'full-desk', when you generate your own clients, and then place candidates directly in them.
