We still owe roughly $900K on a 3% mortgage.We’re planning to retire abroad and are weighing two options:1.Sell the home – I already have a buyer lined up, so this would be a straightforward exit.2.Rent it out long-term (furnished) – While I don’t think the rent will fully cover the mortgage, it might come close.

I’ve been doing well since raising the rent this past May—looking back, I’m glad I made that move, as it’s helped me stay afloat financially.I currently have a few potential buyers who’ve submitted offers around 85-90% of the property’s recent appraisal value.

But if the lease terms are murky, if renewal conditions aren’t guarenteed, or if the airport authority could dramatically shift the deal down the line, then you should be asking for a discount..or at least some protective clauses in the contract.I’m curious... if you were to step into this kind of leasehold now, how do you think you’d explain the upside to your future buyers or partners when you eventually decide to exit?

I am not interested in actively as realtor to help home buyers but may look into helping investors for buy/sell/lease.I wanted to hear from you all who were brokers, did it add value?

It would be wise for a buyer to feel confident that the building is in good structural condition, that it has a certificate of occupancy.

There are buyers that prefer any combination.
