Second, I would set the thermostat low and have supplemental heat see below. 

I have a minimum of 25 years old on both sites and have never been questioned by air over this.My Honeywell 9000 wifi thermostats send me an email from their server when they lose communication.

Each apartment has their own thermostat and hydronic baseboard heat, which connects to one furnace (used for all the units) in the basement.

Possibly install a new thermostat and lock it at 55 degrees or something. 

The house is a single family with 5 separate rooms...but of course only one thermostat.

I noticed because my electrical bill was very high and I learned that they were using space heaters, which was also tripping the breaker.I've added sensors in each room to my smart thermostat "eco bee" and when I checked yesterday it was 59 in that room and 68-81 in the other rooms...

Even thought it’s not a defined goal this year, i am always looking for better-minded (as opposed to “like-minded” people to keep in my circle in order to increase my personal perceived value and raise my thermostat (see recent Podcast ).These are all real estate focuses.

Another recent repair, on a late model, cost me $375 (thermocouple & thermostat only).
