One area I recognize I’m lacking in is networking.

Park is about 40 lots w/ about 35 occupied.New to this forum - not sure how much I'm going to be using it but thought it could be a cool networking/learning tool.

If you want to be a passive investor, you need capital, information and a network, but you don't need specific advantage in real estate.  

Go to one meetup a month to network.

You aren't networking with the right people if you aren't going to real estate investor meetups.

The best way to find these are networking locally.

Due diligence is key before you sign on the dotted lineBuild a network of a great property manager, lender and maintenance teamDepending on your budget, I usually would start with at least a duplex, triplex or quad.

Love that you are learning more about the investment vehicle and that you are moving onto step two where you are working your investment criteria as well as networking with sponsors alike.

Hi Shawn-Congratulations on starting out on your real estate investing career.You have a question about whether it is good to have your real estate license or not as an investor and you are leaning toward multifamily investing.I personally think having your real estate license is helpful as an investor.Having your real estate license allows you to work with other investors to help them build their portfolios which helps expand your network while being productive, you can research market value more effectively, find out about deals before they are listed, and of course it allows you to collect the commission on purchasing any listed property.To Your Success!
