Can you shed some more light on how it is rented?

I do not disagree - I think people have this FOMO and think that because this can be done that there is no risk and they are all trained light slaughtered cattle that it can be done without any money or risk.

@Nina PenuelaOne of the things we have seen, specifically in Ohio and Indiana is local building authorities target out of street owners with ridiculous fines and make life miserable.Had one where the porch light was out and charged a $50 fine.Another one claimed grass was not cut because it rained for 1+ week and did a $400 fine.

Implementing new strategies.

I need all new appliances (Fridge, Microwave, Dishwasher, Sink, oven/range)I also need flooring (Tearing out carpet ..yes it's everywhere...yuck)Will also need to repaint and buy new LED lights for my fixtures. 

Family holds a light industrial property that has been leased to the same large utility company since the 80s and has never had a commission associated with the lease.

Cheap homes don't get light fixtures, or garage door openers, or door bells, or landscaping and the list goes on and on. 

@Rajagopalarao Paidi, as Josh noted, there's a solid chance some of those properties will be cash flow positive if you implement the investment strategy of rent-by-the-room.

The simplest fix for this would be BP implementing a mute/block feature that actually does what you'd expect it to do.Currently, they do have a "block" feature but I believe it only stops people from being able to send you direct messages.
