Can we just take care of this at the time of the sale? 

@MikeLambert thanks for all the insight on Tulum I love the town and would like to purchase A condo For myself don’t care if it doesn’t make much money  but obviously would like a great location I am a dual citizen and want own property in MexicoI probably won’t stay there much if at all I just love to buy real estate one of my addictions 😂Searched online There are so many developments from $100k - $200k would be my comfort level if any of you guys have recommendations on location would appreciate it 

However if it’s a really big hazard and they fail to take care of it quickly, I might just take care of it myself rather than taking any legal action, personally.

Be careful about using your current home equity as a down payment on another property.

Also, be careful with any contractor recommending or suggesting you pull an owner-builder permit as this is usually a sign they are unlicensed or unable to pull their own permits.

If the covenant specifically prohibits renting out rooms or STRs, you may be restricted from doing so.You should carefully review the covenants tied to your property to understand the specific restrictions.

One thing I did note is my insurance is $3K a year lower due to the monitored fire suppression system in these larger properties versus my smaller properties that sleep 12 or less built close to the same time.As someone who has lived in Illinois twice, the politicians there don't care if people burn as long as they can tax and spend.
