Use greenboard if you build a new bathroom and also a more moisture resistant paint, such as a good semi-gloss.Retrofitting older bathrooms with fans is not always easy, because you ideally need to vent to the outside. 

The digital moisture gauge they used detected lots of moisture on top of the planks, and none in our carpeted rooms.  

Selling my personal house...there was a crawl space moisture issue that has been 100% repaired.

Since it won't be in the bedroom dealing with moisture - would I need to vent it outside or would venting it to the attic space or right underneath the roof vent be sufficient?

Hello,My rental has a fireplace and when it rains, the tenants notice signs of moisture by the tiles (it darkens).

It also allows the concrete floor moisture that comes through it to evaporate.
