While you can hold the tenant responsible for the rent till the end of the lease, it's your duty to mitigate damages.I have an early termination penalty written into the lease, one month's rent.

Also, I'm pretty sure that you should get some house hunting days when you get to your duty station (I believe 7 or 10), which is pretty much free leave that allows you to look for a place.

No missing vital information in the private section of the mls about how to make an offer. 

A broker have the duty if care and have to disclose if they know of any major issues.

It does not make sense to buy at every duty station.

By the way I’m active duty military and I would definitely have to higher a property manager to overview this rental if I went that route.
