It seems that my options are:a) Cut the tree down but apparently this is not a guaranteed fix to stop future flooding;b) Snake the line every couple of months and cut and clear the tree roots from the line; here too this is not a guaranteed fix to stop future flooding; orc) Repair the entire sewer line .Has anyone dealt with this type of problem before?

I also got a quote from them to snake a main sewer drain and it came in very high.

Toss it and install a new one for $100 after snaking the drain line.Or spend more than that on chemicals like drano and wait for it to gradually wear out to a point that you can pour in buckets of water to move the waste to the drain.

As a mentor myself, I am disgusted by these "snake oil salesmen" who fly in to sell a program of some sort and don't know the market and more importantly do not provide actual mentoring or guidance of any kind.
