In fact, NPR just ran an article stating that many average payed workers will be earning more while not working with the combination of unemployment insurance, plus the "enhanced unemployment" payments of $600/week, and the stimulus checks!

I would not be willing to cut the rent if they have not cut their lifestyle.If they 'lost' their job and did not quit, they should be fine in paying rent with unemployment benefits at the enhanced level, free medical care, and food stamps/EBT benefits.

All of this with no reimbursement from the government that is proposing it.Unemployed people are eligible for benefits (including stimulus bill enhanced payments) that don't need to be repaid, housing providers are not.

Living room or someplace highly visible where a drywall patch, multiple coats of tape/mudd/texture, and paint will be needed: I’d start asking why they can’t just cut the back out of the sink cabinet to do their work because what might be easier for the plumber may take multiple days and trips from a drywaller and painter.

I would like to add that most people who become unemployed will be eligible for additional unemployment benefits (enhanced unemployment) and will be earning more than they were while working.

Hi Greg, thanks for the feed back, and yes you are right, now I'm  not a professional landlord, but I've had 2 other properties there one of which I still own one and I also didn't have any problems placing tenants, the principal of the high school there has been living in the one I currently own there for 2 years now, the work being done is pretty much a total remodel kitchen cabinets, bathrooms remodels,replace the sheetroock in one of the bedrooms re-texture the walls, get rid of a gas fireplace, new flooring, painting interior and exterior light fixtures and add a central heat and air and is a 1300 sf 3/2.The people who lived there were just not clean at all and they just didn't care for the property.

What the government is providing in enhanced unemployment exceeds what most of my tenants make.
