While I usually agree that discussing matters of law with someone whom is not an attorney is not always the best idea and we were a little hesitant to change the locks we did take our realtors advice because in addition to being our general realtor her company also handles the screening and leasing process and even though we don't use it they also offer property management services so I'm hoping they steered us in the right direction.

Also, the crisis was so severe, your Lines would have been automatically closed and you would have no access to that Line anymore. So I moved the money into the Stock Market / Bond. For the inevitable crash, I placed some in US Bonds and some in safe stocks with PUTs (hedges against a down fall) in place, protecting the money taken out from the lines. To make a long story short, I was in very good shape to pick up a new property because I had the cash available while a lot of investors did not.I could only have done that by utilizing the Stock Market. An Investment Vehicle with only Real Estate is hard to steer.

I'm not saying the are bad people they are just often in over their heads trying to steer a significant chunk of other people's money around a major asset (the condo complex) with no prior history in a similar role.It can also be tough dealing with 6 or 8 conflicting personalities to get a decision made if you are accustomed to just dealing one-on-one with another property owner.
