Likewise, I suppose many of them like to pretend they have money (especially in a forum), and can't be bothered with reality.I also have backed away from deals, and I have my reasons for doing so.

My wife read something online that the act of wholesaling is pretending to buy someones home and then advertise the house  as if u are the owner selling it when you aren't really the owner or going to buy  it.

The real answer is "we lived here because it was fine but we wanted to create a problem so we pretended there was one, or 300, just to get out of paying rent and being responsible until we moved on to the next unsuspecting landlord" but of course he or she won't say that.

I don't pretend to know what it's like to have been born in one of "those neighborhoods," but I do intend to make whatever dents I can by providing housing that is safe, clean, and affordable (ie not boarded up and neglected waiting for another buyer).Like I said in the original post, I knew flack was going to come.

It's not, pretending otherwise is pure hypocrisy and a misguided attempt to stick to an untenable position in this circumstance.The fact of the matter is, the seller is happy and got exactly what they asked for.
