It is public information.As far as meetings, Google it.There are tons of meetings happening every week. 

Hiring an attorney to look at the documents is a good idea but doesn't come cheap.I would recommend googling things along the lines of "Evaluating passive real estate syndications."

I looked in the forum and there were some old posts about contractor referrals but most of them were 5+ years old and I wasn't able to find half of the names mentioned by googling.

@Gregory Wilson  I'm not familiar with land contracts at all...I'm googling now but if you have any other information you'd be willing to share (don't hesitate to dumb it down for me) that would be great! 

I never heard of the guy and googleing him brings up a very similar MLM page.I am not knocking you.

Columbus OH is one, especially now with so many companies like Intel, Honda, Amazon, Google, etc. moving and developing here.

Do a GOOGLE search, get the tax information, read through any relevant documents the seller has provided.  

Many services offer this, a simple google search should find you a firm.
