Her children are elderly now but family bonds are strong and they still love gathering together so would love a gather spot of retreat like spot for them to sit and perhaps for family to go on holidays for events.

It makes it easier for bad actors to commit fraud on their application.The article does say "The report will be made available to landlords at no cost and will have to be prepared by a consumer credit reporting agency" but landlords should be able to verify that somehow and ensure there have been no changes.

Real estate's cash flow is typically lower and more demanding, but in theory it should last forever and accrue in value.

Will you keep it forever?

Regardless of where you choose to purchase your STR, there could be some upfront and potential time-consuming start up processes.

I started beginning of February here and now have 6 deals closed with buyers for a net of 73k profit coming in, but these deals are taking FOREVER to close.

Thanks to our rise in equity, last year I refi’d our house out (just rate and term-no cash out) into a conventional 30-year with the same 2.75% interest rate, so that my VA entitlement could be fully restored as we don’t plan to live here forever, and could then use it on our future primary residence, while keeping this one as a rental.

I looked at their fees and thought OK I would pay more for a hard money loan anyway and could use the help to get funding. here I am with a bunch of crappy consumer credit cards flying out to a house I don't even live at.
