The only ones you read about in the paper are (a) Landlords that blatantly violate the law, or (b) Landlords physically assaulting or sexually harassing their Tenants.The best protection: know and obey the laws, treat your tenants honestly and fairly, and document everything.

I am on this and others threads mainly to help educate the uniformed sellers out there that are looking for honest info.Hope this helps.at least for the public  unlike most wholesalers ( not all but most) the seller is not getting lied too blatantly.. and this company can close etc . they are just trying to make the best deal possible..

You will know it.Now we are always trying to make even low equity deals work, but when we get a hot high equity deal it is blatantly obvious.Usually they are pretty open about getting rid of it.For instance on my last wholesale I had the address and looked up comps before I called the lady back.

I never looked into it but it hit me the scammers users loophole that made the victim sending the money an act of crime...Still get mail a few times a month saying she won a million dollars those guys are blatantly being dishonest and ripping off people but they manage to use the law to there advantage and have been doing so for years making them seemingly untouchable.
