At the moment I am fairly well educated (boot camp and conference attendee, faithful member of my state's REIA meetings, good researcher) but a little under-experienced, but I'm gaining ground!

I've attended many of these conferences and 90% of attendees will never buy a note and, no offense intended, are a "waste" of time.

Tons of attendees paid for knowledge and didn't use it from my class.

I received a rather slick mailer today on attending their bootcamp for only $19.95, however from everything I've read the ones that will be getting rich will be those putting on the bootcamp, rather than the attendees who are being asked to fork over money for all the add on information and "assistance".

I was expecting it to be a sales fest and chuckled to myself as I seen the instructor bring the crowds emotions up and down over and over, following the sales techniques to exactly [I've been in sales 20+ years and I still wanted to whip out my credit card].Unfortunately, one of my fellow broker attendees fell pray to their methods.

They also attract high quality attendees.  

The negative thing I have about REIAs is that a lot of attendees are beginners who claim to know more than they actually do.

I'm a member of many local REIA meetings and aside from most of the seasoned folks not caring much for lawyers.If you want resources about lending, ask lenders, not hostile attendees at a real estate club.
