I think I've seen this movie before.

So it shouldn't be too surprising to see the malls start to fade.And even the movie theater chains have migrated out of the malls somewhat and into standalone locations.I think the mall operator can overcome some of these things by choosing the right tenant mix.

There is an even larger part of my brain that loved the movie Mafia (1998) that is shouting, "Run Florist Run!"

That, and one of my favorite book/movies of all time is "the big short".  

(employment, income, etc...) close to all the shops, movies, etc...

Sure sounds like the 2006 and 2007 with everyone getting in with no money, like the movie"The Big Short".

Is there anyone out there with a solid explanation of what the real estate market future looks like and why? Prices can only go up so much before they drop again....
