Hey BP community,I have a home under contract in Daytona Beach, FL.

I am selling one of my places, and believe it's time to look outside Myrtle Beach, SC for my next investment property.

Considerations we've heard/read about are: distance to primary residence, location of the property in comparison to the primary residence (ie, if we live by the beach and we buy a property by the beach, it's likely not our vacation or second home, whereas living inland and buying in downtown or by the beach could be a more likely second or vacation home), and minimum timeframes for owner occupancy (like 14 nights if we eventually choose to do STRs there).We live inland and if this does allow us to buy at a higher price point, we're open to looking in more tourist-y areas of the city.

Does anyone have any experience working with Daytona Beach Code and the rental inspection?

I think you should look into a short term rental in the NC mountains or NC or SC beaches.

Hey BP, Looking to see if there are any weekly/monthly meet ups in the Long Beach, CA area.

For Investors By Investors (FIBI) has a Long Beach chapter. 

Montgomery is situated right in between the major cities of Atlanta, Birmingham, Mobile and the pristine beaches of the Gulf Coast.

Nice area for the most part, Less than 40 mins away from the beach ath most and bordering LA counties on the Coast of the 101 freeway and The 1 which leads straight to malibu and santa monica Hey Manuel. 

Downtown area, last I heard, still had STR permits available (unlike Mission Beach).
