I was going to give the delivery guy $40 to move (rental is very close, only several stop signs away), but BestBuy told me they have contracts w/ the delivery people that prohibits them from doing such a thing.A local mover wants to charge $260, which seems a lot for such a short move.Has anyone been able to do what I want to achieve?

In our leases we state that any and all notices for repairs or lease issues must be in writing with reasonable proof of delivery to out addresses (no phone calls or texts).

I think I might go the route of using a local bakery that I like a lot and filling the tins up myself so the total cost would be $5 for the tin and maybe $9-10 bucks in cookies + shipping or delivery.

Ideas as to where you can buy appliances now:-Offerup-Craigslist-eBay-Used appliance shop (especially useful if you're out of town and need delivery)Granted, used fridges can be touch and go but a used range tends to last much longer without issues.
