I also agree with the work order to replace batteries in the thermostat.  

One low-key method I like to use is to schedule a visit to change the batteries in the smoke detectors.

But they are expensive, need wifi,and require battery replacement.

She said the batteries had all died at the same time and they needed to get new batteries.  

*A rechargeable battery for the exact drill I own!

They're light, cheap, usually slim and easy on batteries.

If the electric is cut off , I have to evict , first to preserve the property , second the smoke alarms are electric with battery back up , but they chirp when the electric is off so they will disable them .

They also stole the batteries out of all the smoke detectors.
