I have not looked close to NC yet, but someone else on this forum mentioned having a good experience in Sapphire, NC so I may look there.

MN has vibrant summer economy, vibrant fall economy, vibrant winter economies, and has put in the work to emphasize each individually making for a "beast" of an economy on the whole. hence why it's known as "Good Ole Reliable". 

Ohio is worth considering, as it is home to vibrant cities such as Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland.

It's booming with growth, has a vibrant cultural scene, and the rental market is strong – plus, it's a hit with both families and professionals.

I do love the mixed use space on a vibrant street.
