If I was a tenant, and I ask the landlord are you, the owner, and he said no I would say who does and his remark would be my LLC, and the next question is your name on the LLC and Mr. landlord the reason for the questions is a lot of fraud out there, and I want to only rent from a legit landlord.

For example, if your customer is looking for a house with granite countertops, you can set an alert for when a house is listed with "granite" in the public remarks.

In my area, my local county records are horrible, but the county across the river is remarkably good.I have heard of some websits where you can get some good information, but they are in few states.

Some prospects remarked about the kitchen cabinets (wood look that some wanted to have painted), but there was plenty of demand and other nearby rentals were a mix of updated and out of date - so no trouble getting a good tenant.

Success here requires really doing your due diligence (reference remarks from @Dooreuhn Cee on this thread); continuously growing your network (there are multiple local REI groups to join where you'll meet people who are successful in Chicago) & thinking like Mike Ditka (you have to be tough.)
