I arranged for a pest control company to come out and inspect the entire property and they were isolated to the tenants unit.  

I'm trying to isolate a few variables here, not throw some more on the pile.But it its 2008, the stock market cratered even more than the average house price, so what if all that money you made from investing your cashflow for House 1, 640k, is suddenly cut in half, but my home value has only declined 40%? 

Maybe put up a sheet of plastic to isolate the rooms to help figure out where the odor is coming from???

I really, REALLY wanted to punch the previous owner who added the 2nd floor in the face for not putting in ANY kind of insulation or isolation clips on the 1st floor ceiling after living there for 3 years.

The bottom line is that (for the most part) swings in the market aren’t isolated and independent of other variables.

In this way, the number can be pretty meaningful.But once you isolate the best prospects, do your own analysis to come up with a better market value.

The only reason I can think of is risk isolation from the other properties but it sounds like it'd be more difficult to keep up the paperwork.Regards,Austin

If you are equally focused on sound isolation, then proper use of the clips does help with isolation of the channel from the framing to which it is attached.

There are plenty of duty stations that are geographically isolated or in economically depressed areas.
