This is why I got into note investing - I spent 20+ years in commercial and residential real estate - then for my own portfolio looked at tax liens and realized there is not much creativity that can be had there, but if you have a creative math mind there is so much you can do with notes to be creative and as you mention create income, or wealth building.

Hello everyone,My Canadian company owns a residential property in California and I want to sell it to my own personal name as I am closing my company.I don't know which professional to consult to help me do the transfer besides my CPA.Can I do the transfer of the deed myself (going to the County Recorder’s Office) and just check with my CPA for taxes due?

I think this is the gift and the curse of a still emerging asset class (short term rentals) - as it becomes more "institutional" i.e. more like commercial real estate with more sophisticated buyers then financials and systems for this will likely become more streamlined and stable, but we are still in a place where the buyer pools are more newish investors or typically residential basic investors, so not has experienced or sophisticated evaluating investments based on a detailed financial analysis like more seasoned commercial investors likely would.anyways, just a guess on what might be going on here
