Square feet to be cleaned, type of cleaning, chemicals needed to clean, are all probably in the bid.Maybe try three more bids and see what they come out to.Then check references.Does that include windows and screens, and etc...How many people will they send out, and how long will the cleaning last in hours until it ready?

Having had a pool for 14 years we’d spend months on daily care and by august always have an algae bloom in it and have to hire someone to fix it and clean it which would cost around $1000 despite our chlorine levels and other chemical levels always testing right.

For example, our garage was built in the 1940's but the City STILL required that the concrete be tested for moisture percentage (concrete takes a loooooong time to cure), pass that testing and then we had to have a special moisture barrier resin applied by a company who specializes in that type of chemical application.

In the recent past, you had Nortel (RIP), and on the WABAC machine, Tandy.Arguments for: I agree with many that have been brought up in this thread - liking to solve puzzles and follow procedures, bigger salary means more money to spend on RE investing, having to go into management to make the really big bucks, having to relearn everything frequently, a bias against older engineers.I think another thing that affects software people, more than than ee/mech-e/civil/chemical, is outhousing and H1B.
