@Brandon McCadney Often if you find that there are several properties in an area that are all owned by one or 2 companies it could be that a developer is trying to assemble a larger piece of land (buying all the homes/properties in a small/medium sized area) in order to redevelop—build multifamily or retail or some other commercial building.

I personally have opted more for the investing out of state instead of house hacking here but I do understand the appeal of househacking and the more difficult task of assembling a team out of state.
