I was about to point you towards the STR as Wedding Venue thread, but I see you've already seen it!  

People mistake Trustee’s sales as a venue to purchase property when in fact they are a venue to purchase only the title held by the foreclosing loan, which may or may not be marketable title or even clear title.  

@Jay Hinrichs I am very interested in the Incubator/Co-working space scene, what are some of the unique requirements for the hosts of these venues?

The future plaintiff may bring a cause for change of venue for just about any reason and could try to move it to Milwaukee if they have cause.Have all contracts reviewed by an attorney before offering them or signing one.

If you are looking at it as a short term rental you want to make sure there are no local restrictions in the various municipalities and pick something that is relatively close to tourist sites, convention centers, concert venues etc. 

I'm holding it at a bar, which will cost me $75, but I'll use a free venue next time.I haven't held any meetings yet so I can't gauge how many will stick it through but I'm optimistic.

From what I've seen some of the new players are fix 'n flip refugees who are looking to buy the home at a large discount since they can't find decent yield in their traditional venues like REO purchases and FC auctions.

Do you ask for entrance fees or do you just try and find free venues so there are limited costs associated with holding the meetings?
