@Erik Pedersen Its definitely extremely risky to buy without viewing the interior but they why these properties often sell at a significant discount.

Just about everything I'm seeing needs cosmetic work on the interior: finishes, kitchen, bathroom, etc.Port Richmond is the next town over, away from center city.

By Nov 2018 .Mortgage was for 64000 current owners 24000.Property would have a value of a minimum of 190 though I know he is a hoarder and the interior will need a lot of work and some work on exterior.

Add some updated (but cheap) exterior lights and interior LED lights (either recessed or swap out bulbs)If bedrooms only have 1 dome light, could consider adding a nice big fan/light combo.

@Michael Breedlove As you are an owner occupant, you may be able to get a home equity loan, but I would not expect a very high appraisal given your recent purchase and they are typically conservative drive-by appraisals (so your interior work will not be considered).
