I'm an Italian investor, and I will say that long term rental is a very risky option.

Seller financing, subject-to deals (taking over the seller’s mortgage), or lease options can create terms that work for both parties.

For instance - Easter baskets, Halloween candy, fun craft beers for St Patty’s Day, tons of options for Valentine’s Day, small tree and decor set up for Christmas, etc.  

FF isn't the only source, of course, but it is one of the most well know.

Sounds like there are more than just 2 options. 

I'm just speaking from a new host standpoint with the interface offered from both platforms, options & booking results, AirBNB is much superior in my opinion. 

But I would suggest exploring all options to make sure you are getting the best rate and terms.
