First to back up a second, syndication deals are basically the old-school version of crowdfunding deals (with the main difference that crowdfunding deals are allowed to be marketed on the Internet).And you can find syndication/crowdfunding deals that are set up as DSTs.

If you have the time though, you can learn all of this on Bigger Pockets and on the internet. 

With internet all research is done within hours. 

Major internet training; insider monthly meets with the coaches in several major cities in the state; great experience to draw from as we sit and ask questions and the networking.  

10 minutes at a local bar, restaurant, or coffee shop asking questions to locals will be more valuable than 100 hours of internet research.

I am a "techie" and I am targeting other "techie" clientele - i.e. people who need a quiet place to work remotely (with great internet speed) or who are in the beginning of their IT/desk-professional-job career and need an affordable furnished place for a few months/years.

We are buying everything we can in parts of East Clev, as well, YEP, EAST, my advice, stay off the internet, total waste of time.
