I did this about 10 years ago and it was a huge mistake trying to manage remotely.

And it's good to know and anticipate it ahead of the time, so that you don't make mistakes that others do.

The email was replete with grammatical and spelling mistakes too for added professionalism.

I am thinking of using an apartment or condo to eliminate my commute four days per week and making it available on weekends for STR.  

Truth be told, what you need is in fact very simple and where most make mistakes is actually in their day to day operations.

I would say the deal flow I can get by not being anonymous far outweighs any liability risk because I do the things on a day to day basis to eliminate most liability risks.
