Maybe you just want to fix up places and do flips.I would consider reading this beginner's guide, it is a lot of information but will help you get a good over view of different niches, financing and education.

You trick yourself into believing that the old house just has some quirks that need some love, but then after a full rehab, the electrical concerns were reprimanded.

Your conventional options will likely be better and keeping in your personal name is much easier to manage...just my 0.02So a big concern for me is the default liability.
