My wife and I would remain renting in our current apartment and we could easily afford to cover the mortgage indefinitely if/when it would be vacant. 

If you do not take time with the foundation as the building gets close to completion it will all fall apart or not work like you need and then it was all for nothing being impatient and taking shortcuts.People learn from me but it's as buyers.

Currently I view real estate investing (REI) as a method of generating additional income apart from my 9-5.

Out-of-state markets like Houston, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Cincinnati offer better cash flow and lower entry costs.

Near the University of Houston and Texas Southern University, these areas offer rental properties and investment opportunities.Good Luck!

Is the apartment building owned by a large corporation.

I mentor aspiring/emerging developers in my role as a part time CFO, particularly when it comes to the financial side of real estate investing.

It gets used ineffectively and the whole thing falls apart unless you can make MORE.
