I personally would always play the role of GC myself.

I pay 4000 a year in taxes for a brand new single family home I can only collect 1100 a month on....4 months of rent to just cover property taxes,  insurance is another 4000k.... that's 8 months gone.  

This campus hosts a large Magnolia home goods store, high end furniture store, cupcake bakery, coffee shop, gardening shop, live music concert venue, large grass area with toys and balls for kids to play with, an open plaza with eight food trucks, a small baseball field (that Babe Ruth once played on and families can now play on for fun), a restored historic chapel (the oldest chapel in Central Texas), and six boutique shops with men, women, and children's products.

Location plays a big factor into this question. 

However, from the stories I've heard it so far, sounds like it can lead me to the life I want for my future if I play my cards right.

Things to consider: daily internal operations, external branding and operations, lending, in addition to inside out *legal protection and outside in** legal protection, privacy/anonymity/identity protection and security...Prevention measures at different levels, preventing the attack from being initiated vs preventing the attack (lawsuit) being successful vs reducing the damage of a successful attack.... there are many elements and I see people pick one and argue about it without looking at the whole

Great property, perfect setup for a duplex with separate driveways, entrances, back patios w/ storage, brand new roof, plumbing, newer HVAC, appliances, flooring, etc.
