Family dinner tastes different when you owe someone else money. 

By understanding what they want and need, you can come up with answers that work for everyone.When negotiating a real estate deal, each seller is different, and their professionalism, tastes, and goals all play a big part in how the deal turns out.After thinking about my trip, I've learned that the best way to negotiate is to know what questions to ask and then listen to the answers.

Next time you talk to the renter that's paying late all the time, Maybe mentioned to him or her without getting too involved in their personal life, they should seek out a temporary job a few hours, a couple of days a week until they build up enough to get caught up on the rent, and make a little pool of money to use so they don't get behind again.Some Temporary jobs can be fun, like handing out rubber id bracelets at functions to the participants, or if the person is more blue collar they have jobs for those people too more suited to their tastes. just my 2 cents.

Think clown and less tasteful.

I had a tenant call and say that the water from the kitchen faucet tasted weird and had an odor.

I just got stuck with a trailing 5 year prepayment penalty on my last conventional mortgage which left a bad taste in my mouth.

Many a local Cleveland investor has been left with a bad taste in their mouth after dealing with this guy.  

I am offering 1.5m (as it needs about $200k in updates for our tastes).

I have been burned badly on my very first investment deal for a sum of around 50k and really have an awful taste in my mouth about RE investments.
