Oil is used to pave roads, make plastics, produce solvents and other chemicals.

If your contractor is not financially solvent enough to start the job without a huge deposit, it's probably not a contractor you want to be working with.Having said that, I have no problem paying for progress or even working in bonuses for better than scheduled progress, so most contractor's I've worked with like working with me.

One thing to make sure you do is check to see if the association is financially solvent.

The market here in pierce county is going up presently but remember, the market can turn irrational and stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.

As I cannot offer ideas to you about how good or solvent the RE market is in the areas you suggest, I would mention that a different approach you can take is to use BP to search the membership for investors, agents, brokers, attorneys and other RE professional in the target area, and then pose your same question to them.Another thing to try is to just go onto one of the RE online sites (like Zillow), search the area, find a local realtor and cold call them.
