We do get lots of calls on washers and dryers, but they come with higher rents and a better renter, so I wont skimp out there.

These are all questions your advisers should be able to help you all understand and to then develop a plan to deal with these types of events in your operating agreement.Take your time and do not skimp on the set up costs.

Good Morning-I dont flip but I can tell you there are times to skimp and times not to.       

The ones that only last a couple of years are the cheap guys who skimp on the prep, the ones who are diligent will give you a tub finish that will last 5-7 years if you're lucky.

Don't skimp here, its very inexpensive and if you don't have enough to cover your portion, they will place a lien against your unit.

In this type of situation, they then take the remaining outstanding amount and divide among the numbers of units and send out a bill to the units in the form of a loss assessment.That said, don't skimp on coverage here.

So you know they have skin in the game and don't have any incentive to skimp out on the due diligence (which appears to be the case on some other platforms).

@Carolyn Keller unless you're targeting drunken college football fans (which I'm not knocking, if that's your angle) I wouldn't skimp that much on the furnishings by going the thrift store route.

Higher end homes  it will create a spillover effect, the buyer who cares  may think they did not use  plywood where else did they skimp and then it may matter.
