That is the best option if you are truly trying to help a family member.you cannot get control of the mortgage, you can do sub2 but you are not in control, the bank could call it due if they see the property transfers title.The other way is for you to buy it from them at market rate, then rent it back to them at market rate.

It did not start this way, in 2017 through 2020(right before Covid) I worked 12 hour days, minimum, but I had the support I needed and knew to balance certain things. 2020-2021 I worked more, I would say. 2022 systems were put in place; this is where most wealthy will fail to become ultra wealthy and you'll  see the horrible climb & never  the view.

Unless you're getting this property way under-market value, and/or the property is in a great location (blue chip market), I don't actually see the value of doing seller financing here, considering it's not the most stellar terms anyway.

What's important to me is that your 401K isn't viewed as something you can just take money out of for personal use but if my 401K is there to fund my retirement and I borrow money against it to fund other retirement assets I don't see the issue.If you have more questions let me know.
