My two cents, on top of the great advice upthread, is this:  1) Rearrange your lifestyle in a way that justifies the expenditure and the transit time. 

Does the floorplan need to be re-arranged?

I manage multiple so it gives my team enough time to fix/repair anything during the same day check-in.If I was only managing one property I would probably still keep it at those hours.I ask my guests to put the place back how they found it as some like to rearrange furniture for their own convenience.

Living rooms and dining rooms were huge, but bedrooms and kitchens were tiny.With that in mind a quite a bit of space to work with, we’ve decided to do a little bit of rearranging on the second floor.

It was also a big challenge because I had only done small rehabs (paint, carpet and at most new kitchen or bathroom - not rearrange the whole house.

Which means I would re-arrange the living room furniture around and show where you could add on.

And whether or not the floorpan needs to be rearranged.
